I Spent Years Watching What Food Does to People
For over seven years, I ran a large food service business in the heart of Mumbai — serving hundreds of people every single day.
I loved building it. The operations, the standards, the team. But I couldn't stop noticing something that troubled me more than I expected.
People were eating because it was convenient. Because there was nothing genuinely better available nearby. Not because the food was truly nourishing them.
I saw it in their energy. In their choices. In the way they reached for something quick — something that satisfied for twenty minutes but gave their bodies very little that lasted.
That observation stayed with me.
Then I Went Deeper Into the Problem
After food service, I joined a healthcare company focused on the early detection and management of lifestyle conditions — diabetes, hypertension, metabolic imbalance.
I spent two years researching the relationship between everyday diet and long-term health. What people actually eat. What it actually does. How the gap between the two shapes the quality of a life.
What I found confirmed what I had already suspected:
The foods most people reach for daily are not built for their long-term wellbeing. And the genuinely nourishing alternatives — nuts, dry fruits, seeds — were either overpriced, inconsistently graded, or sold with claims that had no business being made.
The market had a quality problem. A trust problem. And very few people were solving both at the same time.
So I Built What I Wanted to Buy
In 2017, I started Nut Story.
Not as a side project. As a conviction.
I brought everything I had learnt — the operational discipline from running a food business, the nutritional understanding from healthcare research, and a simple belief that people deserve to know exactly what they are eating and why it matters — into building this brand.
I wanted to create something I would serve to my own family every single day without hesitation.
That standard has not changed.
Quality Is Not Something We Inspect at the End
Every batch we source is assessed before it reaches you. Our structured grading — Platinum, Gold, and Silver — is not a marketing device. It is a clarity system. It tells you exactly what you are getting, at what standard, and at what price point.
If a batch does not meet the grade we have committed to, it does not go out. Our name goes on every jar and pouch — and that means something to us.
Our products are handled and packed in hygienic, FSSAI-compliant environments. Every sourcing decision is guided by one principle: would I serve this at my own table?
If the answer is no, it does not carry the Nut Story name.
